01099 are the hip hop act of the sustainability generation. Sexism, insults and hatred have no place in their lyrics - instead, they convey an attitude to life that hits the nerve of our time: lightness and mosh pits.
The trio, consisting of Gustav, Paul and Zachi, combines their first-class musical training, the ambition to reinterpret rap and the Dresden Neustadt, whose postcode gives the group its name. "Frisch" is released in 2020, and within a very short time the rap crew catapults beyond Dresden's borders and into the country's playlists. That they are the newcomer of the decade is clear by 2021 at the latest: the Dachfenster EP charts at #9 and has already been awarded two gold records for the main singles "Frisch" and "Durstlöscher". Nominations for the 1Live Krone and the New Music Music Award seal the success. With over 250 million streams on all platforms, the boys did not let themselves be slowed down in 2022. On 25.03.22 they released their long-awaited album "Altbau", which reached #7 in the album charts and #2 in the hip hop charts. For the focus track "Glücklich" (Happy), the trio teamed up with none other than CRO. Features with LEA, $OHO BANI, BHZ, RIN and most recently Ski Aggu are to follow.
